The recovery of waste from ELVs and electrical / electronic devices demanded by regulation in the years ahead can only be realised sensibly and in an economically and ecologically viable manner if the industries affected develop sustainable solutions while at the same time ensuring the public acceptance of the best concepts by organising dialogue with the body politic and other interested groups.

This demands integration:

• of affected parties throughout the entire value chain
• of cooperating partners from various sectors, e.g.
  

the recovery industry and the scientific community

• of politics and administration
• within Germany and the EU
